G733 A BRONZE SEATED BUDDHA

A large and beautifully cast bronze figure of the Buddha with a deep glossy patina, seated on a tiered pedestal in bhumisparsimudra (the gesture of ‘summoning the earth to witness’), his left hand resting in his lap, the face with a tranquil, youthful smile beneath a conical usnisha rising to a tall flame finial.
